Non-market Valuation of River Health Benefits associated with Warragamba Dam e-flows
NSW Department of Finance and Services has engaged a consortium led by Marsden Jacob Associates to conduct a choice modelling study to estimate the non-market community value for river health benefits associated with the release of environmental flows from Warragamba Dam.
Values will be used in developing a business case for the Warragamba Dam Environmental Flows (e-flow) Options Assessment Project. The values from this, and a secondary choice modelling exercise on drought response options, will also be used in an economic assessment of the portfolio(s) of demand management and water supply measures to secure Sydney’s water supply, with the optimal portfolio detailed in the 2014 Metropolitan Water Plan.
