MJA advising the Commonwealth on temporary water markets |

MJA has been engaged by the Commonwealth Environmental Water Holder (CEWH) to provide 11 monthly reports tracking (temporary) allocation water markets in the Murray-Darling Basin. The purposes of the monthly allocation reports are to: - summarise market activity in the 21 water trading zones in the Murray-Darling Basin (MDB) for the month reported, and the market activity drivers in the zones;
- track and explain longer run trends and patterns in these water trading zones; and
- forecast allocation water market prices for the next 1, 3, 6, and 12 months, and identify the factors that likely to drive the forecast allocation price movements.
