Senior MJA staff have many years of experience providing advice to governments, industry and NGOs on these issues and the company has long standing associations with scientists, technicians and financiers who specialise in the field. Climate change impacts, risks and adaptation MJA is a co-author (with Broadleaf Capital) of the guide Climate Change Impacts & Risk Management: A Guide for Business and Government, published by the Australian Greenhouse Office and widely distributed. Based on the guide MJA has subsequently undertaken a number of assignments for businesses, utilities and government departments, assisting them in assessing and managing the risks to their organisations from the impacts of climate change. MJA has also co-managed a major study for federal, state and local governments on climate change impacts and adaptation in the Western Port region of Victoria.
Carbon pricing, emissions trading and greenhouse gas emissions MJA provides expert advice to public and private sector clients on carbon pricing, emissions trading and greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) monitoring and verification. Much of the work relates to assessing strategic risks and opportunities associated with carbon pricing and regulatory regimes. Work in these areas builds on MJA’s experience in energy markets and water markets.
