Marsden Jacob has been engaged by LandCorp, the Town of Port Hedland and BHP Billiton to conduct an economic analysis of two development options for a marina precinct in Port Hedland, Western Australia.
For each of the development locations, Marsden Jacob will consider a partial and full development scenarios and will conduct:
- an economic impact analysis of the investment options using an input-output methodology; and
- a cost benefit analysis of each option against a ‘do nothing’ base case.
The purpose of the analysis is to quantify the costs and benefits as well as the economic impact arising from each development option.
The analysis conducted by Marsden Jacob will be combined with other information and work undertaken to assist with the team’s consideration of the alternative sites.
