Marsden Jacob Associates has been engaged by the Department of Environment and Primary Industries to undertake a review of the Bushfire Rapid Risk Assessment Teams (“Bushfire RRAT”) program, including its effectiveness and efficiency.

The Bushfire RRAT program was established in 2009 in response to the Black Saturday fires and involves a rapid assessment of the major risks to life, property, critical infrastructure and the environment on public land following an emergency event such as a bushfire or flood.
