Diksha completed her Masters at Monash University in Applied Economic and Econometrics. She is passionate about creative problem solving, developing models and strategies using qualitative and quantitative exploratory data analysis. She is also interested in studying about the interplay of our natural environment and economic activity.
Diksha developed her technical knowledge of advanced econometrics, big data analytics and visualisation techniques through her previous internship experiences and project work at the University.
Diksha’s Master’s Thesis, “Do natural Disasters promote investments in technology?” evaluated the creative destruction hypothesis by examining the current and lagged effects of tropical storms on internet activity, measured by the count of unique IPs before and after storm events based on panel analysis for 279 sub-national regions across 57 countries from 2006 – 2012. She also holds a Bachelor of Economics Honours from Delhi University, India.
